Tapestry at Rainbow

Tapestry is an online learning journal, helping practitioners and parents to record, track and celebrate children's progress in early years education.

Tapestry enhances this special time, helping practitioners to capture children's experiences as well as monitor their development and learning. This unique journal is shared online with parents, who are able to see special moments, view their child's progress, and upload comments, pictures and even videos of what their child is up to at home.

Every entry helps to create a complete story of a child's early years learning journey, helps practitioners to plan their next steps, and helps parents see how they can help with their child's development at home.

Other settings and carers

We recognise that budgeting and flexibility often mean that parents use a variety of childcare options day to day, week to week. This can be grandparents, family friends, childminders and other childcare settings.

To ensure your child's learning and development is consistent, with the parents permission, we will happily share what next steps a child is working on at Rainbow, and will factor into our planning any equivalent information other carers provide to us.

Again, when authorised to do so by parents we can also enrol other carers and settings onto a child's online learning journey on our Tapestry system.
