Our Philosophy

Rainbow (Private) Nursery School aims to provide a service of the highest quality in a loving, caring environment which meets the needs of all those children in Rainbow's care, allowing them to achieve their true potential whilst having lots of fun 'along the way. Rainbow has a team of dedicated, highly qualified professional staff, who work to carefully planned routines, which are geared to the appropriate age group. All activities are monitored and continually evaluated. planned routines ensure that an orderly social environment is created for all children, giving guidelines which are easily understood and consistently reinforced in a caring and gentle manner. We treat all children as individuals.

Parent-Nursery Partnership

Rainbow recognises the expertise of parents in the early development of their children and we are committed to a parent - nursery partnership, where a two-way exchange of information, ideas and knowledge is based on trust and mutual respect. This ensures that the care and education of your children is progressed in line with our nursery development programme.

Parents are always encouraged to discuss the progress of their children through informal and formal discussions with staff on a daily basis and at open evenings. Where practicable Rainbow welcomes the admission of 'Special Needs' children. No child whose parents or guardians who wish him or her to obtain a place at Rainbow, and are willing to adhere to our regulations, will be excluded on the basis of sex, race or religion.

It is also the policy of Rainbow to encourage positive attitudes, and to foster awareness and respect for other cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Care will be taken to choose materials such as books and toys which engender goodwill towards other cultural values and encourage non-racist and non-sexist attitudes.
